Dr Clarence Tan has over 25 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur, business advisor, and angel investor, co-founding and leading several technology-related companies in Asia with multi-million-dollar revenues and successful exits.
Additionally, he serves as an an entrepreneur-scientist at Knowledge Engineering Consulting Limited, a consultancy firm that provides data science solutions for various domains, such as biomedical, environmental, and social sciences. Presently, he holds the position of Founder & Chief AI Officer at HyperbrainQ, a Generative AI startup that is part of the GLB Group of Companies.
He earned his Ph.D. from Auckland University under the guidance of the esteemed Professor Nikola Kasabov (https://academics.aut.ac.nz/nkasabov/professional). His research in AI-Brain-inspired neurocomputation has garnered remarkable achievements, including a nomination for the best doctoral student award and the publication of novel research papers in top academic journals. Recognizing his expertise, he was appointed as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at the research institute.
